Rape is a violent crime that tells someone that
they are not even control of their own body or mind; it means they need either
severe punishment or they are sexual psychiatric patient. To be given the death
penalty would be too easy of an escape as well. What I would like to see happen
would not be legal in our country but I believe that the crime of rape should
warrant extreme physical and psychological punishment. The word torture comes
to mind. I do believe that this extreme punishment should be reserved for
confirmed cases. They only other will fear to rape the girls. Other way to
punish the rapists like – “either cut their male part for permanently or beat
them in necked in public through rape victim then show their dirty face in
different place then put him jail at least for 15-20 years “. best punishment , they need
mental torture as when they rape a girl , this thought don’t comes in their mind
that what that girl’ll do after she being raped , so why we become liberals for
them . society abandon that girl in many place like that girl rarely get marry
, she can’t do job peacefully , even society behaves in a different manner. I am not saying I meet also two
rape victims when I was in Women’s organization (part time worker , I rarely get
time to work due to my education in engineering ,that place is far away from my
college) .I don’t know whenever I see any rape cases , my heart says to kill
the rapists immediately as I am very possessive in girl’s case , of course I am
a girl too , anything can happen at any time with me ,I am also not 100% secure
, those girls who became rape victim they are also like my sisters , how can I forgive
that person who destroy my sister’s life. The rape word I first heard when I was in standard 8th, at that time I lose one of my
school friend , which hurt me badly , from that day I promise to myself one day
I’ll do something for this rape matter. but unfortunately after I grow up I chose
to pursue my career in medical but finally end up with engineering but now I think
I should do law to make my dream into real life. I started my journey when I was
in second year of engineering , I always search a career to do something for women
rights , no doubts many rules are there even girls are slowly educating
themselves even trying to show themselves that they are not even less than any
boy , still our society don’t allow this. That’s why now I am planning for
giving justices to all women , even now
a days I find more poor girl Childs in train than boys , I can’t find any boy
kid how much I see the girls , which also astonished me , what ! only girl kids
are in poverty or poor parents refuse to take care of their girl child. Many questions are running in my
mind even many dreams to pursuer to help my society/ country/world. but problem is when I started
doing my work in social work people knowingly started to spoiling my name , I
marked till I get engineering even after joining engineering I didn’t face any
rumors related to my character but when I entered into my social work career and
tried to make my own name in social work field I lose my character like some
knowingly do this , I wear full , my behavior towards male just like
general even I also talk less due to my rumor issues. Still people spoiling my name. I have seen girls were there in
my college who wear shorts (many girls, usually now a day’s all girls wear,
there is nothing new, so don’t take me in negative sense) but one day I wear a
different type of jeans and top, I got a nasty message in my mobile which astonished
me, I also wrote about this in my facebook (JULY-2013- Incident), that’s why I always
wear full and live simple to show myself as a pure social worker. I love to be
stylist but due to my social work dream and rumor issues I had to give up my
style and live like Muslim girls means wear full dress. I can’t avoid my haters and can’t
stop the filthy rumors but can minimize it through my appearance. I always try to do such work
where others can’t get any single clue to spoil my name; I let others to spoil
my name through fake issues not through real issues. I have many issues related to my
educational background any personality and now I am habituated with this.
Nothing matters. I am serious, as now I am busy in constructing
myself. So it’s my request to all, let me fulfill my dream, a dream for my society
and to help others. Now I am going to start an online business which can help
many poor women and kids too to get a home and justices even can help rich who
has no time to run after advocate. I am trying to make it real but if I always
in controversy then how can I make it true?
Every day at least 5 girls Become rape victim in
our India, but nibhaya case was spread all over world due to huge publicity in
media where as every day we lose many nabhiyas. I am not blaming only India wherever
you’ll go now, you’ll find rapists in everywhere and every country. Every times
it’s not in outside issues like office and forcefully rape , Sometimes it also domestic
issues like husband – wife or any. So it’s our duty , how to diminish it , wearing long or full is not the
solution and stop talking with male and not going outside after 9 Pm also not
the solution then how can we save our sisters and daughters. That’s a big question before all.
No girl is secure in present world.
How girls
can save themselves
1] If someone is following behind you on a street
or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face
and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can't
believe it is so cold out here, we're in for a bad winter. Now that you've seen
their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.
2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your
hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man
talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she
would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.
3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a
huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE
PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent. Keep knife or blade with
you like I always keep these scuffs whenever I go outside to save myself
4] If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with
strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the
waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow
and armpit or in the upper inner thigh - HARD. One woman in a class this guy
taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date
rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle
strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard
as you can stand it; it really hurts.
5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin.
I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's
parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make
him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is
that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing
trouble, and he's out of there.
6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his
first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure
pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much
pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.
7] Of course the things we always hear still apply.
Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if
you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may
feel little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was
trouble.

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to **** : if a
robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away
from you.... chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car:
Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving
like crazy. The driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved
lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping,eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect
opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side,put a gun to your head, and
tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a
parking lot, or parking garage:
Be
aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side ,
peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO
THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .
If
you! u are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while
the women are attempting to get into their cars.
Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the
passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you
may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk
you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid
than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs.
(Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under
his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in
100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!
8. As women, we are always trying to be
sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial
killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the
sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked
"for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he
abducted his next victim.
Carry defensive items only if you know how to use
them. Remember, any "weapon" that could hurt a potential
attacker can be used against you if you are not well trained and comfortable
with it. If you are going to carry a handgun, make sure to take classes in its
use, practice often at a firing range, and apply for a concealed weapons
permit; if you carry a knife, take a course in the most effective way to use
it. Remember that even an umbrella or purse can be used as a weapon against an
attacker, and has less chance of being turned against you.

and their punishments for rapists
Man usually has their liberty but the women are the
one who have to combat for their rights. Men are usually a threat to the women,
be it an office, college, hospital, any workplace or a street; women always
have to endure the dirty stares of men. One look in the eye and the woman
discovers the intention of the man; the man on the other hand is bound by the
rules of the society and is helpless against his sick desire. There are certain
men who do not abide the rules and they force a woman into sex. Sexual
intercourse or penetration, a slight touch to the genitals or any kind of
physical intimacy without the partner’s consent is termed as rape.
The history of rape is dated back to Greek
mythology and the Roman civilization. Sexual harassment is often found in many
places where the women work and is very common these days, rape or sexual
assault is a very massive crime and the punishment of it should also very
brutal. The authorities however, if they find out the culprit, he is punished,
every nation or country has different ways for punishing the desperado,:

FRANCE:
In France, the punishment of rape is imprisonment.
For a rape conducted, the culprit is sentenced to an imprisonment of 15 years
however if the victim happens to be very young as in under the age of 15 then
the imprisonment period will be increased to 20 years. If the sexual assault
becomes the cause of the victim’s death then the convict will be imprisoned for
a period of 30 years maximum. If the rape is followed by torture or any
physical harm then the felon is to be sent to the prison for the life time.

NETHERLAND:
In Netherlands the definition of rape is very vast,
any kind of sexual harassment or forced sex, even French kissing without other
person’s consent is list as rape. The punishment for rape in Netherlands varies
from 4 to 15 years imprisonment depending on the age factor of the victim. In
many countries the rape of a prostitute is not given much priority but in
Netherlands any kind of harassment done to a prostitute (under 18) without her
approval can lead to an imprisonment of 4 years. If the person dies after the
rape is committed the person will be locked up for 15 years

RUSSIA:
The law of Russia provides 3 to 6 years
imprisonment against any sexual act done forcefully. If the prey happens to be
under 18 or any damage to the health of the victim has been done then the
imprisonment will be increased from 4 to 10 years. If the death is the
aftermath of the rape caused then the imprisonment will be expanded from 8 to
15 years along with a ban on certain profession and occupations for 20 years
and if the vicitim happens to be under 14 and also dies after the rape then the
imprisonment will be increased from 12 to 20 years along with a mandatory
restrain of liberty for 2 years and a ban for 20 years which is mentioned
above.

CHINA:
China offers capital punishment for committing a
rape. Plenty of people have been executed until now after they committed a
rape. The execution rate in china is very high. The justice is given in such a
rapid way that four men have been executed, who were after a couple of years
proved innocent.

ISRAEL:
In Israel if a person commits a rape he gets
imprisoned for minimum four years and a maximum of 16 years. Although according
to the “torah” (the book followed by Jews), the rapist has to marry the victim.
The man has no will in it; it is up to the woman to decide however this law is
not used in Israel therefore an imprisonment is given to the convict.

AFGHANISTAN:
Afghanistan also has a capital punishment for
rapper. Afghanistan is a Muslim country and its laws are based on Islam. You
are shot with a bullet in the head within the four days if you commit a rape

In United Arab Emirates, there are certain kinds of
punishments for the criminals but the capital punishment i.e. death is only for
the guerilla who commits a rape. In Dubai if you sexually assault a person
without his or her will you will be hanged to death. There is no compensating,
you rape you die within 7 days.
3. EGYPT:
Many few countries offer death penalties for rapes;
Egypt being one of them hangs the culprit to death. Few days ago, 10 men gang
raped a woman and all of them got the death penalty.
2. IRAN:
Iran provides complete justice to the people who
become a victim of sexual assault; Iran has execution for the rape culprits.
Iran offers capital punishment for many crimes and among them 10 to 15%
executions are of rape cases. The women sometimes settle down the cases by
compensating; however the rappers are punished by 100 lashes and sometime of
imprisonment in some cases.

ARABIA:
Saudi Arabia is an Islamic country therefore all of
its laws and regulations are listed as per the teaching the Islam. In Saudi
Arabia the punishment for the rape is very brutal; if a person commits rape
then the stones are thrown upon him till the moment he dies. Technically this
punishment is called as “execution through stones” which means that the stones
will be showered upon him until the soul does not depart from his body. This is
also a form a capital punishment because it means death but the death is not
easy and quick. The criminal has to go through all the pain and torture; he has
to suffer before he dies.

assailant, according to the 2005 National Crime Victimization Survey (PDF,

Approximately 38% of victims are raped by a friend
or acquaintance;
26% of victims by a stranger;

Department of Justice:
About four out of ten sexual assaults take place at
the victim's own home. Two in ten take place in the home of a friend, neighbor
or relative. One in ten take place outside, away from home.
And about one in 12 take place in a parking garage.
And about one in 12 take place in a parking garage.
More than half of all rape/sexual assault incidents were reported by victims to have occurred within one mile of their home or at their home.
43% of rapes occur between 6 pm and midnight. 24% occur between midnight and 6am. The other 33% take place between 6am and 6pm.

Rapists are more likely to be serial criminals than
serial rapists. In one study, 46% of rapists who were released from prison were
rearrested within 3 years of their release for another crime — 18.6% for a
violent offense, 14.8% for a property offense, 11.2% for a drug offense and
20.5% for a public-order offense. This is according to the 2002
Recidivism of Prisoners Released in 1994 study (PDF, 365KB).
What Happens to Rapists When They Are Caught and
Prosecuted?
61% of rapes/sexual assaults are not reported to
the police. Those rapists, of course, never serve a day in prison according to
a statistical average of the past five years.
If the rape is reported to police, there is a 50.8%
chance that an arrest will be made.
If an arrest is made, there is an 80% chance of
prosecution.
If there is a prosecution, there is a 58% chance of
a felony conviction.
If there is a felony conviction, there is a 69%
chance the convict will spend time in jail.
So, even in the 39% of attacks that are reported to
police, there is only a 16.3% chance the rapist will end up in prison.
Factoring in unreported rapes, about 6% of rapists
— 1 out of 16 — will ever spend a day in jail. 15 out of 16 will walk free.

ATTENTIONS TO INNOCENTS
Sometimes male also become victim of false cases
that’s why we have to take decisions after getting all proves. I hate to see when an innocent get
punishment whether that person is MALE OR FEMALE . I have problem with crime
not with gender. We can try to change our society , We should take
steps to change the attitude of men towards women like Females are looked upon
as objects meant to fulfill male desires Also, the wrong attitude of men that
if a woman smokes, drinks or dresses provocatively, she herself is to be blamed
for getting raped, needs to be changed to bring down rape cases. Measures like
getting rid of tinted glasses on vehicle windows, helplines for women , Technology and increased patrolling,
especially during nights, are equally necessary. The mindset towards women
needs to be changed.
